Well, the IJ baby I got from Zach, my little Mortimer, is officially a boy! Today while out and wandering our livingroom couches I saw the tail lift and quickly tucked a paper towel beneath his bottom. However it wasn't what I was expecting, instead of deification to catch I caught two hemipenes and two very large sperm plugs.
Kinda icky, right? ....yeah, it really is!
But, as icky as it is, I am quite happy to see a clarification on his gender. I know it was basically impossible to sex them at the age I got Morti, but I was actually hoping that he would turn out to be a he!
This makes me wonder, did you guys get as excited as I am to clarify your skink's genders? Or if you don't know yet, are you excited at all?
Gender is confirmed!

It is always a good day for me when I find out what gender a skink is! For males, it is usually plugs. For females, it is usually watching them lose their viginity. I hope I am not demented.

Oh well, in 2 years i should know for "sure" because we'll be able to brumate him and get a behavior test. Its not something i HAVE to know right now.
So far out of all my animals, (i know genders on the rest though lol) Ive seen my crestie evert his hemi's and also my bf's sand boa flashed him. He was so grossed out lol
