VItamins and Supplements

Hey all,

I was just curious if anyone used vitamins or supplements with their BTS? If you do, what are they?

Yes I do. Calcium w/ and w/o D3 (Use w/ D3 more than w/o it) and a multivitamin. I usually just use Repi-Cal brand, but currently been using Zoo-Med brand because I bought it at a good price. I have also used the Cal-Stron (I believe that is the brand). I usually like Repi-cal only because of the brand name. They have been around quite sometime and have never heard anything bad about them.

What is the brand of multivitamin you use? I've been thinking of picking one up for all of my reptiles but there are so many to choose from.

I realized what a stupid question that was as soon as I looked up. I just saw Repti-Cal and thought it was just calcium.

Same as Brad, except for Calcium without D3 I just use crushed up egg shell. :D

Note on feeding eggshell. If you are, make sure it is dried and crushed to a powder.

I've seen it come out the other end of young blueys the way it went in. I believe in small blueys there is a risk of impaction from it.

That's what I use, powdered eggshell calcium I got from one of the members here, Reptayls. Has lasted a long time.

Thanks for the clarification Scott. I should have explained that better!

I always bake shells in the oven until brittle and then crush them up. :) And my guys are adults (Jax is by no means "small"!).

I use reptical as well. I also use calcium w/d3 and without at certain intervals.

I use a multivitamin (Herptivite) about once every 1-2 weeks and crushed egg shells about weekly.
