oh u dont need the fancy lights either,i also have used the phillips type like lisa for many years now and my little tykes r a o k,alot of the reptile lights r much the same as normal shop ones,u r just paying for a pretty box with reptiles on it,and the uv heat lights r very expensive for how long they last

Thank you all very much for your replies! You have all been a big help. Troj is still shedding, I thought this would be a much quicker process. How long does it take from the first scale coming off til the last? I read an hour somewhere but thats definatly not happening the bugger is taking his time!

His tank is beside the window so that he gets what sun comes in which is usally a few hours a day :)

I reckon he prolly wont eat til he has finished shedding but it's hard not to worry! Little troj used to eat something every day. :roll:

yeah - sometimes they just won't eat during a shed, sometimes they will. Sounds like he's just gone off food for a little bit. I use those spotone globes too - very cheap and easy - but what do yall think will happen when normal globes are finally outlawed? our Blueys will definately suffer.
