Man I hate blurry pictures....

...who knows. I'd say no, only from what's showing. I could be wrong.

You'll have to forgive me, I'm a picture snob. I have always used crappy cameras and gotten great results, so I know it's possible. It's what you do when you's po' folk. Out of 100 pictures I take of my skink, for example I think I use about 8. :lol:

yeah i probably have a couple hundred pics already
I took about 20 to get that one tongue pic and you have to admit most of my pics are darn good for me having a crap digital and no camera skills.

Yes and he? has a squishy butt which is why I believe he's a male. Just thought I'd check on the strangish gooey thing I found in the pile. "Butt Refuse" :shock:

It doesn't look like poop (butt refuse). Does it smell like poop? I know you probably don't wanna smell it - but if you do - you'll know if it's poop or not. I've seen my male blueys drop only one plug at times - could be a plug, especially if he is squishy either side of the tail.

Lot's of people doubt that way of sexing, but I'm 9-0 with that method. one of my guys is too young to tell.

That's where the males sex organs are located and some say it will feel squishy there if it's a male. If it's a female it feels firm since there are no hemipenes inside. Make sense?

Mine are still he/shes. I have no clue, lol.

It's basically feeling the tail base and guessing whether or not it's a male or female based on what you feel. Probably not an accurate method.

and when I say butt refuse, it refers to urates too. Mine has passed urates that look alot like that.

The pic was after I had picked up the poo i noticed the "goo" when it was on a baby wipe so I don't know if there were two of them he had a nicely formed urate and the part I was taking a pic of was kinda whitish/clear and stringy
you can watch him pooing that poo on my videos post (come on I'm laid off I have nothing better to do than follow my lizard around all day)

Thanks, you guys! I remember reading about this in the caresheet, I think. It just seems funny that a "squishy butt" reveals male (hopefully) and not the other way around. Okay... TMI!! :lol:

Why do BTS have to be so difficult.. or any skink, for that matter? I can just lift up Hugo or Tandoor's tail and see "goolies" ...boy! No question.

The reason why it's squishy is due to the hemipenes being on either side. With a female, they don't have hemipenes, so that area is taken up with fat and/or muscle. unless of course they are hemaphrodites - in which case just tell them to go ---- themselves!

I'm into alot of things I'll admit ..... but squeezing lizards' bums is not one of them. I liken it to someone squeezing or pushing on your bladder at a bad time, like first thing in the morning.
