BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Happy New Year Folks.


The first 2 weeks of 2018 has been super productive for me. Have managed to pair 70% of the collection this week, which is a huge sucess for me.

Every year I try something different with brumation to see if it makes any difference to breeding activity come Jan.

End of 2017 I did a 'soft' brumation. Lights & heat off in 1st week Nov until last week in Dec, but I kept the background heat higher this year at 17-18 degrees (mainly due to upgrade to the insulation and heating system in the house.)

Fingers crossed all paring are sucessful and I have all healthy litters in 2018.


I only had northerns born in 2017, so looking forward to having some indos this year.

Hi, what colors are your Tanimbar?
I'm picking up a beautifull yellow one at Hamm this weekend, so i am looking for other yellows

Tannie pairing are

Yellow x Olive Green
Silver x Silver

Had 4 lock each with these. Fingers crossed it did the job come Autumn time.

I can confirm I have 2 gravid northerns, 3rd northern is hit or miss. Due in May.

IJ looks promising, she stopped at 5 locks

Meruake is still going, last weekend was 7 locks.

no idea if you still have northerns for sale still, but i wanted to know if you send them by postage or ? as i live in norwich and its a bit of a mission driving all that way to pick one up.

i am relatively new to all this, and my heart is set on getting a northern blue but i have no idea how to actually get one as no reptile shops have them near me and no local breeders either. if i could get some advice it would be brilliant and much appreciated.
