How often does everyone take out their bts from its enclosure? I used to take mine out everyday but now I don't have the time to take him out everyday so I'm wondering how often everyone here handles theres.

Man - I used to take my skinks outside everyday for a run around - now I'd be lucky to take them out 0nce a week. I really should do it more, but That's one of the reasons i'm building this out door enclosure, so I don't have to, and they're better off.

I have been taking my eastern female outside to bask more, and in doing so, I've noticed her pooping more. I put it down to the UV she's getting, cuz she sure as HECK (yup I censored myself) aint eating! Darn her!!! hehehe more censorship i should work with Tipper!

It depends so much on the weather.... i try for at least once a week during the summer, at least for a few minutes. I usually take him out more, but 1 time is the minimum.

Yeah we'll take some rain!!! We've just hit stage 4 water restrictions I think. If we're not actually on them - we should be. Our reservoirs are down to 21%. eeeep!!! bracks should stop selling our water to NSW.
Australia could easily become the worlds leading sea salt expoter by building Desalination plants. keep the water - sell off the excess Salt (SEA SALT) to the world!!!!

Eh, I take Rollie out about 3 times a week average, sometimes more, sometimes less. I'll always hold him and give him a kiss when I feed him, but I don't consider that real "out" time...

I have only been a BTS owner for two weeks now but I have been taking LittleFoot everyday and outside about 4 times so far....it's been in the 100's for most of that time so I have been worried about it being too hot for him.

We need some rain, Phoenix is in year 11 of it's drought, I think the last time we had any meaningful rain was about three months ago, usually we have sand storms and it rains mud.

He'll be ok as long as he has access to some shade. Mine typically sun bathes for a while, when he gets too hot he shoots over to some shady areas with plants.

I've been having Marley out daily when I'm watching tv or on the computer, and let him run around on the floor while i follow him around and direct his expedition. He's only been held outside a couple times, but I won't let him explore out there till I get a leash(if it works ok) or he gets big and slow, lol.

"Phoenix," means "...drought curse..." in Navajo.

Just kidding, I'm full of poo. I'm also from Prescott. Arizona is really neat -- to visit. Even Nevada gets too hot for me.

The 100 degree temps aren't so bad; find a shady spot where the sun isn't blasting down. Morning and evening sun will probably do better for you and your skink; when it's maybe only 90 or below and the angle of the sun isn't warming up the ground as well. You could try making a nice shallow pool (about 1" deep or so) for your bluey to take a dip into... I have a big plastic bakery tray for Rollie.
