Egg feeding ?
Trying out a new recipe today for the "kids" (they eat better than the real kids) and I was wondering something. When serving them boiled eggs, do they eat the shell and all or not?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I never fed the shell. You can dry and bake eggshells and grind it into great calcium rich powder.

Oh, I'm sure people do feed the shell with the egg. I just never did. It was just a personal choice of mine.

Hard-boiled eggs keep quite well and grind up easily in the food processor. I'll mix some up, shell and all, with some raw turkey (about a 20-80 egg-turkey ratio) if the meat is a little lean, then freeze it.

I use half the shell in my omelets.

I leave the shell on! It gives them a bit of a challenge to get to the favorable inside; they normally avoid the shell, but can't help eating some pieces....very rarely, I'll throw Slurp a whole raw egg and he'll wrestle with it for a bit before crushing through it. I love the whole process he does.
