Ok, I know this picture is very small, but that is the size it was on the ad. This guy has been forsale for quite some time now and the price is getting really low. But I was wondering if anyone can identify what species/subspecies it is. I cant believe I am even thinking about it!
I was thinking Kei, but not sure. They ahve it listed as Irian Jaya, but pretty sure that isnt right.

Yeah i figured it was WC. just wondering what species. They are asking $50 for it, so if it was a Kei, I would consider it, but for an Indo, I think I will pass.
Just for future reference, what features make you said Indo. I am horrible at identifying some of the species. I noticed the clean face and I though most Keis have speckled faces. Just curious.

Yeah, great deal if it were a Kei....Renee MUST get a Kei NOW.
That's a small picture, so it's hard to describe any particular trait -- I can just tell it's not a Kei from the overall look of the animal I guess...it does look like a Kei though....

LOL. Well if anyone is willing to take a risk, this animal is only $50 plus shipping. It is posted on Kingsnake. I emailed the guy when I first saw it posted, but he was not very helpful and responded with very short answers. I just emailed him asking how much shipping is. I will let anyone know if they are interested.
Zach-this was the one that I pmed you about but the ad was already expired when you went to view it.

Yeah, that's up there on our "red flags" list. "Avoid sellers who respond with one-liner emails". That bothers me to no end.
Question: Where does this animal come from? Good shape? What is his current diet? Free of mites? Can you provide a few more pictures before I spend $100-200? Thanks very much!
Answer: yes...-veryg ood shape, thx, no mites 150 dollrs.
EGAD!!!

And I'd say that occurs well over half the time.

I can't stand that.... the least you can do is make the buyer feel comfortable and not in the dark on details.

It is a Kei ! Even if it were in not so good shape, its still worth it for $50.00 (for someone who knows what they are doing with skinks)! Then they can nurse it back to health !!

Oooooo, Zach, Ray is going for Kei.......I have to agree with Ray, he is the skinkMaster......

Thanks Ray, I think I know where my next paycheck will be going. lol. jk
But it is very tempting. I have watched the price come down from $90 to $50 and it is so tempting.
Now I just have to get him to respond to my email (it took me two emails to get a half hearted one from him the last time lol)

I saw this ad also, and my thought was "Why do they have the bluey on that critter keeper cover?" Um.... probably not too easy to handle, maybe an attack bluey? Just my first thought on those pictures in that ad.....

I must have deleted his email he sent me when I asked the "important" questions. I cant remember how he said it, but basically said that it did have an attitude but it wasnt too bad.
But for $100 shipped, I would risk it if I didnt just add 2 snakes and 4 crested geckos to my collection along with getting another BTS from Zach this summer. If its still for sale in a couple weeks, I might consider it more.

My first impression was Kei too. Some better pictures might help... But for $50, it's an interesting animal.

I sent some PM's to Edward, Andrew and Johan with just the link to this thread....
It looks like a Kei from a distance, but I'm very confident that it is not. I'm willing to bet money that if a more detailed image were sent, you guys would change your mind!
Look carefully. It's a standard Indo!

I'm so on the fence here. Ok, I'm just going to admit that I really am just being noncommittal. My official statement: I HAVE NO STATEMENT. I seem to be able to talk myself into either.

Speaking for myself, I really couldn't make up my mind either, and also suggested more pictures.
Are there going to be any?
