If you use reptiglow, go for the 10.
The 2.0 and 5.0 don't really compare.

We had a ReptiGlow 150W ceramic heat lamp, and it was working okay, until this last weekend, when it looks like something melted/squashed our cable, and the ceramic bulb, only just over a month old, blew. We now have a new URS cable and ceramic bulb.
We use a ReptiGlow 5.0 tube for UV at the moment.

I'm using a different brand, Arcadia, but I found this on a chameleon forum on this subject:

And since chameleons like a lot of light I guess it'll be all right for skinks

I will say when your buying 10 lights @ a time it pays to get good quilty ..We have had some when you screw in fall away and they have the socket stuck ,, with no way of screwing it out ..

get good gear ...get sharp looking healthy skinks and sinks

I have reptiglo on Jubby & reptisun on Ralphie & Santos for UV ( the 3 ft batten type).
They are very expensive here, about $70 for the light, and another $50 for the batten bit. I used to change them every six months because I was told that that's all the UV in them lasts for, even though the light will last for years.
However, since mine get to go outside every day and really only sleep in their tanks, I use them only as a source of light now and not for the UV content.
I think if you can get them out for even just half an hour a day or an hour on weekends is better than any artificial UV source you can buy.
I have not noticed a difference between the two different brands.

I think mine's a compact ReptiSun 10?

It's about time to buy another one anyway. I kind of want one that has a different "hue" to it. We'll see.
