I agree with you on that Zach. I was (and will again soon) be a German Shepherd Dog mother. When too much mutation is allowed into a species (or breed) it undermines the integrity of the entire population.
Not too much of an issue here in South East Queensland where they (Eastern Blueys - not GSD's
) are so numerous, but overseas, you could end up with a whole different 'kettle of fish'.

i can remember that when i was about 4 or 5 a albino( or some kind of albino) Blue tongue visited us a couples times. And it was the biggest bluey i had ever seen lol as for breeding albinos with other albinos to get albino offspring i think that it should probably not be done because all we get is animals that colour was very rare but is now comman and that finding one with natural colour will become rare, i have observed this happpening to the bearded dragon in the US and UK in which many people are buying the flame and pastel drogons insted of thier equally spectactular brothers with natural colour. All the US and UK pet store web sites i have visited will have like 7 of some pastel Bdragon but will only have 2 normal ones...This of couse not happen in Oz yet because owning reptiles as pets is quite unsual and hard to come by in some places so we have not had the time to breed the special colour dragons yet and i hope we dont not because they dont look nice or anything but all we will be left with are special colour reptiles that will become not so special.
wow..i think that, that was my longest post eva
