I personally have adult northern as house pets for the post 5 years with out issue.
We decided to purchase a baby blotchy from a reptile shop. We have had it for a week now and I have noticed he does not stick out his tongue.. when I examined his mouth with a damp qtip I could see its tongue looked whitish. No teeth or gum issues. When I put him down he closed his mouth with tongue sticking out for an hour.. like he could not move it. Eventually he did and since its been hidden again. It's drinking and eating wet food. I have made a vet appointment with a reptile friendly clinic but can not get in for another 5 days.
Has anyone had any thing like this? What do you think I should do in the meantime.
His enclosure is set right with correct readings of temp, uv etc. Im only looking for advice on how to help it or if anyone has seen this before. Thanks for any help.

How is this little one doing? I have never heard of such a thing. However, when reptiles are stressed they can do all kinds of weird behavior. Did the vet say anything?
