I have a 3 year old blue tongue skink who recently came out of a long dirt nap for the winter (think it started somewhere in November). He has been out and about for a a little over 2 weeks at this point and has yet to really eat some food (mainly just nibbles, but I had attributed it to his hunger bein a little out of wack from brumation. His level of activity and curiosity hasn't dipped at all, he is very much his usual curious and climbing self.
Unfortunately, last night I was moving some things around in his house when i noticed two scales on his mouth looking very odd, sort of puffy and misaligned. I have never seen this before so suffice to say it was a little alarming. From what I've seen this could be a temp/humidity thing, but I'm worried about some sort of rot or infection. He might have had this since he came out of brumation and I didn't notice since from a distance it is hard to spot. He also has what looks to be some kind of mark on his bottom lip where the scale dips a tiny bit. I've only seen him get little spots of dirt or food stuck in places, but this seemed a little different. I tried to capture the inside of his mouth a bit in one of the photos.
