BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Okay, so, I need some advice.
I was hand-feeding my Skink some apple, he was eating it normally and then there was randomly blood on the apple?
Is it possible he nicked his tongue a little or? I looked inside his mouth but there was nothing significant, maybe a little blood in/around his front teeth.
Someone suggested he just bit too hard, but just wanted to see if anyone had an idea.
It wasn't a lot of blood, just a little bit.
Like an idiot, my finger got too close and I got a harsh bite for my troubles, that's what happens when your finger is inside a Skink's mouth haha
Has this ever happened to anyone else? The blood in his mouth, not the bite.

I have an eastern that likes to bite decorated resin cage furniture. Had to remove it, he was making a mess of himself. Other than that, they can bite down too hard and cause bleeding. As long as you don't see any signs of infection it shouldn't be much concern.

It was definitely only when he was eating the apple, what a bizarre quirk that is lol
Hopefully, he doesn't make a habit of it!

I agree, I am sure he bit down just too hard and was a little blood. Shouldn't be anything to worry about.
