Activity of your Skinks

Hello,
im a bit worried about the activity of my eastern BTS. It often stays burrowed for 2-3 days without any activity. Even if i offer food every day, most of the time it wont eat. However, it eats regularly every 3-4 Days.
After 3 days of inactivity, i usually check on it and take it out of the enclosure. After putting it back into the enclosure it usually stays active, basking and roaming. That's very weird to me. The skink is 6 months old.
Whats the usual activity pattern of your skink. Are they active every day? Do they get active once the lamps are on? How much time are they active per day?
One other thing is its drive to eat insects (grashoppers and roaches). Most of the time it shows no interest in live insects. It simply doesn't like to chase them down and even if i offer them with tongs it won't eat them very often. Almost as if it has no hunting/ foraging instinct.
How are your skinks reacting to live feeders or food in general?
