Only eating fav foods/ picky eating?
My northern bts named Octavius is an extremely picky eater and almost never eats and when he does we have to hand feed him either hard boiled egg or sometimes banana. he only eats about once every 2 weeks. his temp and humidity are all correct for his subspecies and idk what his problem is so if any of you guys have some of advice on what to do i would really appreciate it.

Re: Only eating fav foods/ picky eating?
When it comes to feed, it is best to remember this, you want to feed about 50% protein source, 40% veggies, and 10% fruit. The protein can be anything from a well balanced canned dog food, snails, ground lean turkey, eggs, insects, etc. Veggies should be dark leafy greens, squashes, green beans, carrot, pepper, cactus pads, zucchini, sweet potato, etc. Fruits, they love banana, blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, etc. I rotate what I feed so mine do not become picky. I also pre-make all my food and blend the ingredients together super well so that they CAN'T choose just what they want to eat. I then, place the mixtures in ice cube trays to freeze and pull out as I need. This time of year alot of Northern don't eat much because of winter and slowing down. The big thing is making sure your temps are correct. Let me know if you need any other advice.

Most of my Northern males have not eaten since October. They should start up again in March.
