BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

How do I know if my Indonesian has a parasite? His diet consists of insects, chicken, and chopped greens as I was told to feed him. He eats once a week and only gets treats if he behaves well during handling hours. If he does have one, I'm not sure how he would've gotten infected. He never goes outside and he's my only skink, but because I bought him from a breeder... Is it possible was exposed to an infected skink? Or are the mealworms I feed him a possible issue? He only gets as little as 2-3 once a week.

Either way, I plan to call the vet soon but I just want some advice on how to ease him until his appointment.

What makes you think he has parasites? An Indo from a breeder is a rarity, are you sure he isn't imported? Also I'd add some good quality dog food to his diet, as chicken is lacking in some nutrients. As far as insects, I've never trusted pet store feeders therefore I have been breeding all my own feeders for many years.

I'm not sure if he is or not, really. I know he's an Indo as I've had him identified by his tongue and other features. What kind of dog food brand do you recommend also? I tried to give him Little Ceasers once and he refused it. I tried wet cat food.. made him sick. His stomach has been upset lately and his poo smells horrible... I just cleaned his tank the other night and it already stinks... I'm genuinely worried for him. He's my baby.
