Just curious if anyone knew exactly what this species was? I think it’s a tiliqua gigas? But is it similar to a Marauke?

"Biak" locale is Indonesian. Hailing from Papua, New Guinea.

So would it be similar to a marauke or just a classic Indonesian? It says they are cousins to the eastern Australian species? Any specific care requirements that are different than general Indonesian care? Thank you

Most I see advertised are "farm bred" and appear similar to Irian Jayas. IMO, it's just another name for an IJ or IJ/Merauke cross which happens frequently at breeding "farms".
Regardless, it is an import and you'd do much better with a captive bred animal.
Care would be same as Merauke/IJ.

There are so-called breeding 'farms' in the country or origin. From what I can determine, It's just a pile of wild collected's thrown together and harvested for their offspring. Nothing glamorous here. The importation process is cruel and inhumane, and the primary reason I have not taken one of many jobs offered to me in the wholesale industry. Hopefully I will never need money that desperately.

Are you able to give me a recommendation for a reputable breeder? I have my enclosure setup and I’m ready to bring a baby home lol.

I am a breeder myself. I produce Northerns and NSW Easterns. I do have a 2021 Northern holdback born in May, but I do not ship in winter. Newborn/baby season is May-July for Northerns, and April-May for Easterns. You may also check with other breeders listed in the recommended breeders listing on this forum for possibly someone local who also has a leftover/holdback.

Oh cool thank you for letting me know I am in Bend Oregon and couldn’t find anyone local. You wouldn’t be able to add some extra heat to the shipping container I’d pay extra? If not no big deal I’m just really excited to bring a little one home. I love reptiles and taking care of them I have a few different ones and I’m a stay at home dad so they get a lot of attention lol.

I'm sorry, I do not ship in winter regardless. Seasonal delays, bad weather, and the state of affairs in this country right now can only spell disaster at this time of year. My only concern is the health of the animal, therefore, very sorry but will not.
