Red underbelly on my Merauke
So ever since I got my skink he’s always had a red underbelly, I found it strange because I haven’t found any meraukes with such a red underbelly. I’ve had him almost a year now and his underbelly keeps on getting more red. Also I red that meraukes don’t have freckled underbellys but you can see a good bit of black scales on his really red belly. I was just curious if this is possibly a skin infection or something health related?

I tried posting pictures but they are over 3mbs but they are just iPhone pictures. Any advice on lowering the file size of the picture?

I am sorry you are having trouble sending pictures. I am honestly not the most tech savvy. I used to send them to myself in messenger, save the messenger picture, and th n it would work. Now I can just send the pictures directly. Not sure why. The main reason for th pictures is to verify if indeed your skink is a Merauke or not and also to see the belly coloration.

Red/orange underside common. Not an issue.
