Chunks out of scales

Hi just curious if anyone has seen these marks I’ve just spotted on my halm. They are white underneath but I don’t think they’re bone as they don’t seem deep enough. I’ve never spotted these before and I feel as though he may have just forced himself through a tight space however the ones on his back look like slightly deformed scales. The photos of his back are too large to attach but there’s no adverse reaction when I touch them. Any help is appreciated thanks. :)

This could possibly be mites. I don't know much about mites but the white bits caught my attention. My advice is to research mites and see if it is that. There are lots of ways to treat this you'll come across it in your research. I hope this helped.
ps: sorry if I didn't help at all :D

Thanks for the advice. I’m almost certain it’s not mites as I regularly use predatory mites in stevies tank to prevent mite infestations. I have booked a vet trip for Wednesday so I won’t worry till then :)

Went to the vets today. £60 to be told he’d just scraped himself against a hide or something hard like I thought. Oh well better safe than sorry :)
