New Skink Hunger Strike

So I just got a new baby (2.5 months) northern 4 days ago from a breeder who said he is very food motivated. The first day he arrived I took him out of the box he was shipped in and fed him premium cat food. He ate all of it and even let me hand feed him on the first and second day (which is great). However, the past 2 days he’s had little interest in eating his food. I know that for skinks moving to a new environment is stressful, but I just find it odd that he ate so much the first two days and nothing the second two. I would have thought he would be more comfortable the more days that go by, but it seems to be the opposite. He only comes out of his hide on the warm side to bask, and he’s basking a lot. I haven’t even seen him come out to drink water or explore the tank in the last 2 days. I know this is likely normal and I shouldn’t panic until a little more time has gone by. I just found it odd and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced a similar story
Tank conditions:
The basking spot fluctuates between 95-100 degrees during the day and about 85 degrees at night
Cold side is 76 degrees during the day, 70 at night
