Always Burrowed

Postby SpookyLighthouse » Tue Aug 24, 2021 1:33 pm

I’ve had my Halmahera for about two months now(got July 10th) and he’s been doing great! Eating, going to the bathroom, drinking, the whole deal. I just came back from a couple of days away and noticed that over the past week I haven’t seen him out at all. I took him out today to check on him as he’d shed while I was away, but he seems otherwise fine. Is this normal? It’s entirely possible he’s basking while I’m at work, I’m just surprised that I haven’t seen him

Nothing to worry about. As he gets more comfortable you will probably see him more. Halms er often to the more shy side since they are imports so taking 6 mounts to a year if not more for him to feel safe isn't uncommon either. Make sure it's eating fine and have healthy looking feces and I wouldn't worry.

Best of luck
