Weird biting

I have a new 3 month old Northern BTS. Earlier today he was scratching at the door of his enclosure like he wanted to come out. I opened the door and he crawled right into my hands. I sat down with him in my lap. He began to crawl around in my lap and bite my arms in an odd sort of way. He didn't hiss or display, but he gently griped my arm in his mouth a few times the way he does when he is grabbing food. I thought he might be hungry, so I fed him canned snails until he was full and he stopped biting and just lay calmly an my lap. I suspect he was just hungry, but I would like your guys opinions. Do you guys think he was only taste testing me, or could it have been aggression?
