Shedding and frontline spray

I just got some frontline spray after hearing a lot of great things about it. Hestu is about to shed any day now and I hear that you shouldn’t use it before a reptile sheds, is that true? And why? Also is there an age or weight limit? I hear you have to be super careful when using chemicals around babies. Hestu is around 4-6 months old I haven’t weighed him yet. My other skinks are 5 and 4 years old. 800 and 450g.

From what I recall, frontline is an insecticide? I would not use it at all, but that's just me. I keep invertebrate pets and wouldn't have it in the house. A reptile's skin is very sensitive pre-shed and they should not even be handled at this time unless absolutely necessary. I definitely wouldn't use at this time.

What is your reason for using this spray? I also highly recommend NOT using it right now.

It was for the mites. And he has since shed on Friday and I sprayed them the day after so far they’re doing fine, even better in fact now that the mites are dying off fast.
