Can my bluey get worms from my cat?
So I just found out my cat has worms. She sleeps on the bed too. And I’ll also let my lizard roam around on the bed( I always watch my bluey extremely closely even if my cat isn’t laying on the bed too.). So I’m worried about him possibly ingesting the worm flea larvae and getting little tape worms. Should I get my reptile checked out? I’m already strapped for cash bringing my cat to the vet and bringing my bluey boy will probably be a lot more. I wouldn’t be able to take him until at least another 2-3 weeks. Usually I have money saved up for emergencies like this but of course so many problems hit me at once and I’m freaking out about this. I know by the time reptiles show symptoms for anything it’s usually too late. I really don’t want my baby boy getting worms
what should I do?

Your skink can not get tapeworms from the cat. The tapeworms from the cat are from ingesting either a flea or rodent that had the larvae in it. Also the tapes are species specific

Hi, It's not very common lizard to get worms for cat , but it's good to take precautions. Try keeping your lizard away from the cat's hangout spots, especially the bed. Keep an eye on your bluey for any odd symptoms, and if you notice something concerning, reach out to a vet. just focus on treating your cat's worms and maintaining good hygiene at home.
