. The first time I saw "him" in the store was about a month ago and he was pretty shy, nippy and hissy but calmed down when you would pick him up. Then a couple weeks later he was as sweet as could be. He would out of his hide just chilling and would let you pick him up without a problem, he would only hiss a little when you touch his head. So then it came to the day when I would buy the skink, also being my first reptile. He has explored his enclosure the night he arrived and drank water, Now he has been in his hide on the cool end buried in his substrate ever since I first placed him in my enclosure. He never came out to bask, drink, eat, or explore and I mean like NEVER. I understand that new skinks will hide but I thought he would at least come out to drink, so I checked once if he was alive and he was but he bit me lol. I just want anyone to help me make sure he should be fine. His basking temps are 100-105°F, hot-warm area is 95-85°F, warm-cool area is 80-75°F
Cage humidity is 30-40% at day time and 50-60% at night
I should note that he was around the end of his shedding process the night I bought him, he was shedding off the skin on his back.
