Does your Bluey like to watch you?
I'm just wondering if it's something all bluey's do. Often I might hear a bump on the glass, or just glance over and see a cute little face looking at me from inside the cage. My Merauke just seems to enjoy watching me when I'm on the other side of my room. The substrate of the cage is below the bottom of the glass, so she has to pull herself up to look over. She will also climb on her glass as a way of letting me know she wants out for some fresh air. I just think its really cute and was wondering if anyone elses Bluey's do these things.

Re: Does your Bluey like to watch you?
Mine definitely watches me when I enter the room but I think it might be part cautious of me and part curious. I got him the 9th of January so he's still getting used to me I think (but quite comfortable around me so not too much longer now), but every time I take him out for a holding session or to walk around my place a bit he'll sometimes stop to look at me and watch me looking all curious. Then when I put him back he'll seem more interested in what I'm doing than getting back to his business lol.
I would say mine is starting to like watching me.

My skinks know my voice and will hear when I am up, come home from work, or just hanging out by their enclosures. They will both look around and I know my one wants me to let him out. He is very spoiled.

I think they're always watching you and like knowing that you're there, especially when they're comfortable with you. They quickly figure out what behaviour will typically get your attention much like we learn theirs. Still amazes me how sensitive my skink is to the sound of clicking metal feeding tongs and voices
She probably thinks the same thing with her scratching on the corner near the door opening = free range time.

Re: Does your Bluey like to watch you?
I'd say so. If they are new, they may watch you because they see you as a threat. But a lot of the times they are just trying to learn the way you act and do things. They will also probably watch you if they think what you are doing is interesting.
