How dark should the room be at night?

Hey pretty short question here, how dark should the room be that your BTS is in at night?

I have a housemate that likes to stay up late and there is at least 1 light on though the tank remains quite dark. Was wondering if that's ok as I know they have a much broader colour spectrum / light perception.

In my experience as long as they have plenty of hide options, including some leafy vines the smush thru, a bit of light coming into the tank is alright. You could also consider throwing a towel/blanket/cardboard over half the enclosure?

When I had this issue I'd just cover the cage at night.
