Hi, I just got my blue tongue and I'd like to know any ways I could get him to trust me, that's really all.

Hello there. So there is several things you can do to earn your skinks trust. First and foremost leave your skink alone for about.1-2 weeks. During that time just talk to your skink every time your near or feeding/cleaning. You can also offer treats such as blueberries, banana, grapes, live insects, snails, etc by hand. Some people also place an item of clothing in the enclosure as well. If your skink seems curious then offer some gentle pets. Start slow and steady. Make sure when you finally do handle make sure to support their body. They like to feel secure when being held.
