Hi all,
Regular reader of the forum first time poster and introduction. New BTS owner since March - living in Melbourne - Victoria, Australia.
Firstly I'd like to thank all of the dedicated posters here for their detailed and useful information which has been tremendous in assisting my research when looking to get into the hobby.
After building a 4.5 foot melamine set-up with the help of my partner at the end of 2019 I was lucky enough to pick up a beautiful blotchie at just over a week old from a breeder (after many fruitless months searching between Christmas and March 2020). And little did I know we would enter into lockdown across Metro Victoria, I was privileged enough to raise a skink during this time.
Her name is Peanut and she is coming up to 9 months old. First started off as a timid and flighty skink but with alot of patient work and effort relaxed and evolved into a sweetheart personality who is always looking for the next trip sitting across my shoulders or exploring the wide world outside her enclosure.
Ill keep this short as dont want to overload my first post. Look forward to contributing here. Cheers A few pictures below:
