Best way to open sliding glass doors on viv

Postby S3an » Thu Jul 09, 2020 3:51 am

Hiya all. I just recently got my self a beautiful northern BTS. This is my first reptile and after doing reserach for about half a year I set up my vivarium a month before I got her,/him. Now i've got him/her all set up and ive come across a small issue that I never thought really about. My vivarium has a frount opening sliding glass door and is my viewing area too. Now the problem is opening it up to change water/feed and general maintaince. When I open the door I'm leaving marks all over the glass. I've looked at as many pics and comments of other people's Viv's as I can to see what other people have done but could really find much information. I'm thinking along idea of handles but don't want to really significantly reduce my viewing areas. I've seen some stick on glass handles but they look bulky and I fear may fall off leaving a sticky mark on glass. Drilling into glass isn't really an option for me either as I'm more of a damage it myself fella when it comes to DIY. I'm based in UK any advise and where to get said items will help. Thank you and sorry for waffling on just hoping your collected wealth of experience will help me.

Glueing on handles can be done so they stick with no problem. I whould get some really strong glue at a hardware store and buy those stick on handles and use the glue on them.
