Help. Tiny white bugs on my skink.

Postby OlitheHalmahera » Thu May 21, 2020 3:24 am

My skink has tiny white bugs on him can anyone tell if they are mites?
I have white tropical isopods and springtails in the enclosure so maybe it is just those?

They are definitely not isopods, appear to be springtails. Reptile mites are not white.

You'll generally see either mites or ticks biting reptiles, although your skink will probably not come into contact with ticks in captivity. Mites are what you really need to look out for.

I agree that those white bugs appear to be springtails. They are harmless :)
