What species are my BTS

Postby Arminius » Thu Mar 05, 2020 4:17 am

I have 2 BTS male and Female but i dont know what species they are. Can some one help me identify them? The grey is a Female about 4-5 years and the ”Brown” one is a male Alsow 4-5 years. The Brown one is not always Brown only when sheding. When not sheding he is Grey like the female

The picture quality isn't great. The one on the bottom appears Merauke. The other I can't make out. Try posting more.

The adults are bought from the same Petstore at the same time when they where babies so they should be the same species!?

They both look very dry. That substrate isn't doing them any favors. Cypress mulch, coco coir, organic soil, anything that will hold moisture and maintain humidity levels of at least 50% or higher. They are not the same species either. One is Merauke, the other appears to be Irian Jaya.

I agree. The substrate needs to be changed and I also believe one a Merauke and the other IJ.
