Worried about eating and poop

Ok so I have about one and a half year old boys. We recently took him to the vet to get a check up because he hadn’t been eating. They told us he had a gut infection and we got him on medication and have been feeding him oxpo diet. We were told to transfer him to a solid diet called mazuri. He was eating liquids from a tube before but now he just isn’t eating the solid food. He is really just putting out uric acid and other white stuff. I don’t know what to do at this point because we have done all the vet told us and he was getting better on the oxpo but the told us to stop and it is expensive. What should I do?

I am not familiar with the type food you mention. BTS diet should contain a good quality dog food, insects and vegetables. Please explain what you are using.

First was this a reptile specialist vet or just a regular vet? What medication was used exactly. What expo product? Also what Mazuri diet? As mentioned he needs a diet of 50% protein source ( dog food, ground lean turkey, eggs, snails, insects, etc). 40% veggies and 10% fruit. What is your set up like?

So basically it was a reptile specialist and she told me to give him a liquid diet for a while and shift him into mazuri with all the essentials. He has started to eat peas now and I am hoping to get him on more protein stuff but that is all he is eating right now

I am familiar with mazuri (mine do not like the stuff) but what is oxpo? Have you tried soft wet dog food? Insects?
