Hi, I recently bought a Bobtail and thought I’d introduce her.

Yeah she’s the sweetest, hasn’t hissed or bitten yet and is calm in literally all situations
I was actually thinking of getting her a buddy at the reptile expo in November, I’m still doing a whole lot of research about having two together before I get one though

Try to get one who is close in size would be my advise.
A boy - this way you enjoy the experience of her giving birth.

Other than when they come together to court and mate (same mate every season if it can be found) and they are perfectly happy living a solitary life but I think they can be housed a mixed pairs permanently in the right size enclosure (or a pit in the yard , aconverted color bond raised beds on a slab or pavers is perfect so long as you screen the top to keep neighourhood cats and dogs out , and provide about 1/3 in shade.)

I'd check out GUMTREE or https://www.petpages.com.au/classifieds/reptiles/ , often see shinglebacks being offered there , if it comes from a breeder, you should also get a caresheet and guidance on husbandry..

A pair of shinglebacks have been on my wishlist for a while, but I've got my hands full with two central bearded dragons, two eastern bts, and two eastern water skinks.

That's a good sized pit , I'd say OK for 3 or 4 shingles or a mix of shingles and bts and beardies.

I don't see why not if there are multiple hides and plenty of space so they can keep away from each other.

I'd talk with the breeder about it as I've not kept shinglebacks and I'm not sure of how territorial they (even the females) are.

I’ll definitely ask the breeders at the reptile expo about cohabitation ect, thanks for the photos they are actually really useful info I definitely need to get that book, thanks so much for the help
