feeding snails from my aquarium?
Is it safe to feed snails from my planted aquarium to my skink? I've heard that apple snails and mystery snails are fine, and that malaysian trumpets are bad news, but what about ramshorns and pond snails? I've got way too many and my skink would make a great lil disposal system.

Re: feeding snails from my aquarium?
Although I've never fed them myself, I have heard of people feeding both types to their skinks, especially pond snails. Many people do raise and feed snails through aquariums. While probably safer than feeding wild caught snails (which again some people do), there is still a minimal risk of transmitting a parasite riddled snail. I think there are enough commercially raised snails for consumption and that would be the best route.
