I'm not sure if this is in the right spot to post as this is my first time posting to this site, so I'm sorry if I messed sth up w this ??
We have a BTS that's about four or five now. Yesterday he was fed a bit of blue Buffalo beef dog food, a bit of yam, and some romaine lettuce I believe? I was not the one that prepared it, I'm unsure on if it is romaine or a different kind of lettuce/green. But the Skink ate a bit of everything, which he usually doesn't go for greens.
He is normally ed cat food but we switched to dog food bc we read that it's better.
However this skink has pooped FOUR times just today, very uh. Loud, runny and smelly.
I read that diorrhea can happen, but I've never ever seen him go this many times, in one day.
Should I call a vet?? Idk what to do but I'm very concerned. He is still very alert and aware of his surroundings, not lethargic at all. But it's making me nervous. :/
Help with frequency of BTS poops??

I would discontinue feeding lettuce, of any kind. I'd give it a day or so and if it continues please see your vet.

Re: Help with frequency of BTS poops??
My guess it is from the diet change. I agree with no lettuce, but instead use dark leafy greens such as collard, mustard, turnip, or dandelion. His stools should return to normal after the food gets out of his system. Have you checked out the forums diet chart? Lots of great feeding suggestions. If the stools doesn't clear up in a day or two I would call the vet.

Thank you so much for your comments/help !
He is still his alert, active self and there haven't been any poops happening today, which I am happy about. I'm still keeping an eye on him and we will definitely stop with lettuce! Again thank you so much ;__;
