hi all! i just got my baby halmahera BTS about a month ago. i was wondering if anyone could help with an issue I may be having? When i got him, the black bands on his back were exactly that - black. Lately, Ive noticed the ones on the very top of his back have lightened to almost brown? These are the only scales that have lightened. He had a shed a few days ago (are those whiteish/light areas between his scales ones that are stuck?) which is when I noticed the lightening, although I dont know of or have seen any other halmaheras with light scales like that! I'm concerned this may be scale rot but as far as i know, doesnt that usually affect their belly scales, not the ones on top?
Also, is his growth alright? When I got him, he was around 3-4 weeks old and weighed 32 grams (weighed 5/20). Today, he weighed 60 grams. He's definitely grown larger, but is this a reasonable amount?
This is my first blue tongue skink and I am afraid of messing anything up! he's so precious to me and I want to make sure I'm doing the best I can for him. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

It looks like a few left behind pieces from a shed, try a damp cloth wipe down and see if they come off. I don't see anything else wrong with him. They need relatively high humidity, see that it's at least 75-80%

I agree with Susan. A wipe down or a warm water soak will help. Definitely watch humidity! You got a cutie there.
