New skink not moving?

Hi, I’m new here. My husband and I got what we think is an Indonesian blue tongue skink the other day. We bought him from a petco, and since we brought him home he hasn’t moved at all. The store said he loves bananas so we’ve tried giving him some but he won’t eat or move. Should I be worried or should we just leave him be? I attached a picture. Maybe you guys could help me identify what type he is

He is a Halmahera, a type of Indonesian skink which requires humidity levels between 80%-100%. He is wild caught so it's probably a good idea to get him checked by a knowledgeable herp vet and tested for parasites. Most Blueys are shy the first week or two and will refuse all food and remain hidden. It's best to leave him be. He also looks close to a shed which will also affect appetite.

Update: I held him tonight and he ate 3 banana slices out of my hand. I think he’s less scared

Is good that he's eaten something, go easy on the banana though as they are very high in phosphorus which binds calcium.

Slices of hard boiled eggs will likely be taken by him.

Give him time , he needs to settle in . Being wild caught (most likely and illegally trafficked very likely by criminals under horrible conditions) he likely is very scared of humans so you will need to be very patient and kind to him and given time he'll learn he can trust you and become tame enough to allow you handle him, I'd make a daily ritual of spending time where he can watch you , talking quietly to him, and offering him food treats by hand helps a lot in befriending a skink.

I have no doubt that in a few months he'll be uber tame and will perhaps enjoy spending time having snuggles.

I’ve heard from others that eggs make their skink have bad diarrhea..have you experienced this with yours?

Not at all. Possibly if that is ALL he is fed, but all of mine love eggs and get them in both cooked and raw form every weekend.
