I’m panicking -watery eye
Ok, I know I worry over nothing but when I got home from work today, I gave ven some treats, and noticed his right eye is watery and looked a little bulgey... he blinked and a tiny bubble appeared. The liquid is totally clear and was only in one eye, it seemed to go once he closed the eye for a minute or 2. I’m going to keep him a bit warmer at night just incase but is this likely to be an ri??? Or if not what could it be... i really hope I’m over reacting, I hate the thought of him being poorly

In my opinion, that’s a sign of low humidity in Halmaheras.
I suggest you take him out of his enclosure, spray him for a few minutes and put him back wet where he can warm up throughout the day.
You can do this daily if you want.

Maybe he had dirt in his eye and it got irritated a bit. My bluey had a watery eye once for getting substrate in his eye.

Thanks for this, glad to hear other people have experienced the same thing, I think it was just an elaborate ploy to get more treats while I tried to look at his eye, he seems absolutely fine now apart from a slight miss-aim and nibbling my finger instead of food!! Il let you all know if I notice any other things of worrry but hopefully it was just something and nothing

Respiratory infections most often occur with inadequate humidity levels, inadequate heat, or a sudden drop in temperature. For an Irian Jaya, humidity levels over 70% are more than adequate and being that you're on top of your humidity, I can only assume your temperatures are also appropriate. In the absence of other symptoms of a respiratory infection (audible difficulty in breathing, eyes appear sunken in, foamy discharge coming from mouth and/or nose), it's probably a bit premature to definitively diagnose it as such. Now, it would behoove you to monitor the situation and if you notice that this issue is re-occurring, or you notice any additional symptoms, your best course of action would be to find an exotic vet.
