Possible Mouth Rot?

Postby Badoozy » Wed Sep 26, 2018 1:15 pm

Hello! My 4 month old Northern seems to have some kind of scab on the side of his mouth. I'm thinking it might be mouth rot? It was really small a month ago and I assumed it appeared because he bite down on his food bowl. But since it's still here a month later I'm starting to worry. Does anybody with experience have any idea what this scabbing might be? I don't think a vet visit is required just yet, but I just want to make sure!

Thank you all for your time!

Agree with King, possible food staining also or a bit of scale damage from biting his bowl. I always wonder why they do that!

Thank you both so much! :D I'll try and gently massage the stuck shed off immediately. I appreciate you guys pinpointing the problem for me. It means a lot.
