BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I managed to do a full cage cleaning today for both my boys. Mintaka is loving his new substrate. I didn't manage to take any of Noodles.

So cute! I love it when they just poke their heads of the substrate to keep an eye on what’s happening.

My 3 skinks (2 easterns BTS and an eastern water skink) do that all the time too …. the water skink is so inquisitive she hates to miss out on seeing anything her two hoomans do.

I've been doing the same, one or two at a time, it's that time of year! Want them all to have nice fresh substrate for the long sleep!

I spot clean my guys every day and then every 3 months they get full enclosure clean outs. My guys love these. They love to burrow all through the new substrate and if I change up their enclosures, they like checking out what is new. Love my babies

Mine love to make a mess as soon as they are introduced to their clean cage. Now isn't that cute. Heheee

I just did a massive clean two days ago, I had the substrate all nice and flat but it didn't take long before everything was completely demolished.

My skink doesn't really burrow, she digs around and messes up the substrate and then returns to her log when she is finished.
