my brother stepped on my blue tongues abdomen around the middle, not too hard as he lifted his foot after realising he was there
Lizard seemed ok initially, then it began hissing and acting as if he was in pain, became droopy and his tongue was hanging out of his mouth. I took him to two vets both of which don’t handle lizards and my only option is leave him in his tank with heat lamps on
He seems to be doing better now, eyes open and moving around slightly. There’s no signs of blood or injury just how he’s acting and he seems to be unable to move his back legs
Will he be alright? What should I do to help and how do I tell what’s wrong with him if anything or if he was just in shock?
Stepped on blue tongue will he be ok

Re: Stepped on blue tongue will he be ok
I would seriously suggest phoning around to find a vet who will deal with Skinks, I had to call 3 different ones before I found one that did them.
He may seem fine but I would suggest taking him to a vet anyway just to be on the safe side, not all injuries are always visible.

I would also get him to a reptile specialist immediately. I do not like what your describing. I would be worried about internal injuries or spinal injuries.
