constipation?

Hi, bit of an odd one....

Ventress doesn't seem to have gone to the toilet (urate or poo) for 6 days (although i did find one sperm plug dangling from a plant...he's so classy)

He shed 5 days ago, is eating and drinking normally and doesn't seem lethargic.
His stomach/body looks normal not bloated or anything.
Could he be hiding it?! ive been digging around but can't find/smell anything... i'm starting to wonder if I've given him too much of a good thing with the substrate (its a good 4 or 5 inches deep) and all his tunneling around is hiding it before i see it? could this be likely??
I tried bathing him as suggested in other posts...but i just ended up with wet lizard footprints up my arm and a hiding Venners in my hair.
The only other thing that has changed is Ive put a different hide in as the basking spot (and hide underneath) this gets slightly warmer than his previous one which was my aim...but could this actually be causing a problem somehow?

So yeh I just wondered
1) can they produce sperm plugs without any other waste?
2) is it common for them to hide urate and poo?
3) what signs to keep my eyes open for?


I am going away for 2 weeks at the end of the month and have written my poor dad a 5 page instruction manual on how to care for Ventress while im away (il also be ringing and checking on them most days) I just really want to get this sorted out before I go away because if he is ill I obviously want to get him better, or if he is hiding it, i want to make amendments to his viv so he goes back to leaving it out so that it can be cleared out properly.

Thanks for getting back to me "hide-and-go-poo" really amused me.
Ventress offered up urate and sperm plugs this morning but did seem to be straining somehow...those legs were in the air a looooong time.
i've put extra veg in his lunch today and may try some egg or banana over the weekend just to see if we can get him back to normal.
i've had a big dig around but not found any hidden treasure (so to speak) yet!

Norbert has recently started to hide his poos, or maybe he does them when he’s buried. His favourite spot is in his cool hide in the corner but it does mean moving everything to look every couple of days the day after he’s eaten. He seems to quite enjoy watching me look around for it

Haha exactly! It’s like a power play haha watching us digging around to find their little gifts haha.
Good news anyways, Ventress has done 2 in 24 hrs so I think we are getting back to normal. The only think I’ve changed is putting his rock back in, and he’s done them round the rock so yes I think that’s his toilet haha
