BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Hi i plan on getting my first northern blue tongue skink soon as i was just wondering do you guys think this substrate would be ok? thanks

I believe that substrate is fine for a Northern ^__^ Glad to see you're not trying aspen, as that stuff is so dusty/dries out everything.

I have used similar with Northerns and Easterns with no issues.

I believe that would be just fine! I personally use a mixture of forest floor (cypress mulch) and coco fiber! Congrats on your new baby! It's the best experience ever.

Start off with absorbant paper towels if it's only a baby (can fit in your hand) , then as it grows bigger course grade Kritters' Krumble works well.

I started off with Aspen and that was just terrible, super dusty, dry, and just terrible. I recently switched to reptibark and his skin is smooth, sheds nicely, stops sneezing, and he stopped rubbing against the glass. I think something like that is nice.
