BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Hi I’m new to the blue tongue world coming from aus I have seen many wondering around the back yard but never actually owned one. I have a 3 month old eastern called puppy yes I know it’s a weird name but my 8 year old reptile crazy daughter named him/her excited to learn heaps of you all. I have to say I have only had puppy a day but seriously so in love I can just sit and watch him/her for hours. Oh my name is Hayley aswell

They sure are, my skinks all love being spoken to , and look straight into my eyes when I'm talking to them and want to be really close to my face.

A lot more goes on inbetween their ears than most give them credit for, my guys are all super sweet with us and our grandson (never hiss or huff or bite us , love a snuggle , and have shown themselves to be really good at problem solving too, and have a real sense of fun too. .

THEY LOVE exploring .... we let our bts each have free range time in the house most days . Got George and Mildred as 2 month old babies from local breeder, they are over 9 years old now.

I'm presuming from the british 70's sitcom? really tickled me that has, ace names.

Yep ..the breeder told us they'd be fine housed together .... was very bad advise as we found out when she cornered George one day in his hide (was a cardboard mailer box) and bashed him up (bit him on the head hard enough to take a couple of scales off his head ---- very lucky I was home and heard the hissing and commotion and was able to intervene and prevent an even nastier attack ) when they little and sharing a rearing tub , names changed that day and George & Mildred sounded right , so were named .... and he scored his own rearing tub ..... only time we ever had an issue and they have never been allowed together since .

Glad they were both okay!! Definitely ace names for them by the sound of it!!
