Tongue Flick Sound

Here I go again, I think I've now achieved 'most paranoid skink owner' status!!
When Ventress flicks his tongue there is a slight noise, like a little click... now ... stick with me here, if i do the same with my tongue, i get a similar sound, so is this just normal ...tongue sticky out noise (from saliva) as i suspect, or should I be thinking RI? He sneezes sometimes but these are dry sneezes usually after food, no bubbles or discharge from eyes, nose or mouth, and hes put on a good 17grams this week so he is eating well.

It doesn't sound too concerning for the moment ^__^ (as like you say, no bubbles or discharge). Always good to keep a watch on the sounds regardless, if happens very frequently or seemingly at the same time as breathing there is a chance it could be the start of RI. Can always check your humidity to be on the safe side, as this is one of the main factors to prevent RI

And just a secondary thought - we recently got a room humidifier (as before our room was ~36%), so we only took him out for short handling sessions. Before we could hear the similar click noise you described. Since the humidifier has been running, we don't hear any sounds (other than talkative whistling!).

I hadn't thought of a humidifier for the room! I recon you are on to something there, thankyou.
As soon as pay day arrives I'll get one. in the mean time I wont have him out too long at once.
