BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I have had my blue tongued skink for around a month now, he is around 3 months old, and is on a diet of grain free cat food and escarole. He is doing really well, eating constantly and pooping every day, his poop looks very healthy, and he is in shed right now (has shed his belly and back so far) his chin is in shed as well, but i noticed some greenish brownish crusty looking things on his chin as well. I am planning on taking him to the vet this week for an overall check up and to check out his chin, but does this seem like something to worry about? will attach pics.

Initial thoughts:
- Is it possible it's dried food on the chin? (perhaps try using a damp cotton wool pad and very gently seeing if it comes off)
- If it's more 'in' the scales, there's chance it could be health related (but since he's still active/eating well - I don't suspect it'd be a huge concern between now and the vet visit. But 100% get their opinion on it!).
- As you're Bluey is going through a shed, the marks may come off during the shed if it's just a few layers deep. It's looking like you've got an Irian Jaya - so keeping high humidity is always good (60-80% average, maybe a little more to assist with the shed )

Yep. Dried up food. Mine are pigs. They have that all the time. They just can't get all the food off their faces even though I put their bowls on paper towels.
