Hey guys, life's been keeping me pretty busy lately but i think you will be glad to hear that both of my shinglebacks are thriving now! I was getting close to thinking about booking Zig in for a vet checkup when he started getting drastically better, he became for active, ate more, basked more and he became a little bit less shy, although he did seem a tad stressed at times maybe from being moved inside and not being used to living by himself. since the weather was heating up and Zig was feeling better i decided to put him back out with Zag in the outside enclosure and they have been doing great. there has been a few stellar days and they have been loving the natural sun. Also i had the pleasure of taking care of a baby wild shingleback after my neighbor handed i to me after he found it extremely underweight covered in dust and cobwebs in a cupboard. i named him humphrey, fattened him up and released him. He was a real cool customer and handled captivity very well and he was very tame for a wild skink, he would happily eat food from my hand and didn't freak out too much on the occasion where i had to check him for ticks or when i released him. he was released into a nice bushy area where i thought was suitable away from the road.
