Darkling Beetle as a cleaner
Hi everyone. I recently had a mealworm transition into a darkling beetle. I was curious if I could use the beetle as a cleaner insect since they are scavengers. I wanted to ask you guys before I put it in there because I don't want my skink to choke on the hard exoskeleton. I have a fire skink that is about 8 months old.

The beetles are not harmful to the lizards, I have a community tank that they breed in and the lizards eat them no problem. Most will not eat the beetle that comes from the superworm though, as they eject a foul smelling substance when disturbed. I have been raising my own feeder insects forever, and no issues with these.
