Heat lamp wattage will depend entirely on your enclosure size and ambient room temperature. You can purchase low wattage spot lights at any hardware store for a couple dollars. I personally use either Mercury Vapor Bulbs or Exo Terra daylight basking bulbs. Make sure to use a lamp with a ceramic base for safety. These are made by dozens of different companies and can be found on Amazon.

100% agree with the first reply.

Things like the wattage of the bulb will depend on your enclosure. For instance, I'm keeping my baby Northern BTS in a 40 gallon breeder tank and I use a 100w Mega Ray Mercury Vapor Bulb. I also bought a temp gun so I can check the temps very accurately. I'd actually recommend Mega Ray for Mercury Vapor bulbs. You can purchase them on Amazon, they come with a 6 month warranty, and their support is amazing. I had an issue with my first bulb where it turned off, and wouldn't turn back on for hours. I contacted support and they said they could send me a new one. Well a little bit after that communication, the bulb turned back on and has been working fine ever since. I told this to support and they still sent me out another bulb just in case. Great support!

Depends on the species of bluetongue . You need to research this and ask the breeder ( buying from a petshop, forget about asking them for advise - they never know and are more likely to give you very poor advise and sell stuff to you that's profitable to them and completely inappropriate).

UVA , UVB and proper heat are MANDATORY.
